Advanced Web Based Spirometry Training

 
Overview:
OMI's web based training offers those who have a basic knowledge of spirometry the chance to improve his or her skills. It was developed by some of the world's most renowned experts in the area of spirometry.

Goals:
This interactive program provides a comprehensive narrative on virtually all aspects of occupational spirometry. It gives easy to understand instruction and provides printable exercises to reinforce a deeper understanding of the intricacies of quality spirometry. Topics include but are not limited to: the mechanics of respiration, smoking and occupational lung disease, respiratory surveillance, comparison of spirometer types, limitations of spirometry, quality assurance in testing and equipment, calibration guidelines, infection control, coaching technique, calculation of spirometry results, selecting predicted "normals", and interpretation of baseline and subsequent spirometry results.
